Who doesn't like Evelyn "Champagne" King? She'd always put out plenty good music back in the day I was more than happy to find "Back to love" which didn't get enough radio play nor would you find it on any of her "best of" series. A true rare find. If you're REALLY old school, I can tell you this cd provides the lyrics which rates this cd a /5(31).

The title cut and "Show Me Don't Tell Me" sounds to me like generic s action movie soundtrack rejects. The sole ballad "Till Midnight" proves to be a bore and stands as the weakest song on the album. I think "Out of Control" and "Give Me One Reason" were her most (and only) soulful songs on the album of which were mediocre, but yet listenable.

On the heels of 's artistically and commercially disappointing Face to Face, King served up a much more consistent follow-up with this album. From the onset of the set's vivacious opener, "Show Me (Don't Tell Me)" -- with a lyrical context notably similar to 's "Action," So Romantic allows King plenty of room to showcase her flair for dance music without overcrowding her with excessive.
