Jan 02,  · It’s still possible to appreciate songs like “Black Jesuz” and “Hell 4 a Hustler” for their beats and the unique way Shakur dominated a track with his voice and nihilistic yet hopeful attitude. Those who weren’t fans of his before now really have no reason to buy the album though; as the Outlawz themselves certainly aren’t worth it.

Making up the difference in both categories is Outlawz, a quartet of rappers keeping the flow going between 2Pac fragments. As with 2Pac's other posthumous releases, Still I Rise comes with four or five solid tracks that may have survived the cuts on a real 2Pac album. The title track and "Letter to the President" are obvious winners, still reliant on the syrupy G-funk that 2Pac made famous.

even in the new millenium 2pac's "still i rise" is a further example why he is the greatest rapper of all time. just when people began calling dmx and ja-rule new 2pac's, this album is a vivid display of why they don't even come close. the live instruments coupled with the raw vocals of 2pac and the outlaws make this cd an instant classic.
