Simon Green, aka Bonobo, had released 3 solid studio albums up until this point, with the third recording "Days To Come" being the most accomplished of them all. However, 4 years later, he brings us "Black Sands" which is even better. The tracks sound confident, interesting, very well produced, varied and most of all extremely well composed/5().

Personal faves are "Wawazat!" and "Slam Dunk". But there are two great mellow songs, comparing favourably with "Damn Good" from "Skyscraper", namely "Going Places" and the excellent album closer, "Black Sand". I don`t think that there`s been a better CD from DLR on his own, and God knows there wasn`t anything better from Hagar-era VH/5(92).

Dec 05,  · Minus the production values, if you just listen to the songwriting, I think this is Dave's best album. Only songs I don't like are Right Tool for the Job and Relentless. RTJ is just a stinker and Relentless, Dave's voice sounds horrible. Wawazat!, Black Sand, Weekend with Babysitter and Goin' Places are favorites. Whaddya think?
