[2 ]Some cassette printings of this album had "Didacts and Narpets" and "I Think I'm Going Bald" switch places (possibly because of cassette tape length and to balance out both sides), and all of the movements of "The Fountain of Lamneth" listed as separate songs.

Feb 03,  · Polygram was the label that distributed Rush's albums internationally for many years, and while they did an exceptional job with their early CD editions, their Caress of Steel tapes are real head-scratchers for me. Just saw a cassette edition on Discogs that had "Didacts and Narpets" moved out of side two, and swapped with "I Think I'm Going Bald" on the other side.

Also notable: on the cassette version I have, “Didacts and Narpets” and “I Think I’m Going Bald” are switched in the tracklist, showcasing the awkwardness of the former very early in the album and effectively destroying the complete flow of the final epic by the addition of the latter.

Feb 10,  · COS is to Rush, what Music From The Elder is to Kiss. Don't really understand not digging "Didacts and Narpets". Different strokes. Christmas on cassette. Yes, it ended up not helping my assessment of Fountain by taking D&N out of it and putting Bald in its place on side 2, but that's another story. Sitting in my parents' car.
